Juan Alessi served as Epstein’s house manager at the Palm Beach estate for approximately eleven years. He was deposed in the Giuffre v. Maxwell civil case and later testified at the Maxwell trial, describing the inner workings of the household.

Transcript

Juan Alessi testified that he worked as the house manager at Jeffrey Epstein’s Palm Beach estate on El Brillo Way from approximately 1990 to 2002. He described the day-to-day operations of the household in extensive detail.

Alessi testified that Epstein had a strict “household manual” that governed every aspect of staff behavior. The manual instructed employees to “see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing” about what went on in the house. Staff were told never to look Epstein in the eye and to maintain absolute discretion.

He described a pattern of young women, many of whom appeared to be underage, visiting the estate on a daily basis, particularly in the afternoons. He stated they would arrive, go upstairs to the master suite area, and leave approximately an hour later. Alessi estimated he saw hundreds of girls come through the house over the years.

Alessi testified that Ghislaine Maxwell was the person who managed the household and directed the flow of visitors. She would instruct Alessi on scheduling and logistics. He described Maxwell as the “lady of the house” who controlled access to Epstein.

He also testified about a specific young woman he knew as “Virginia,” whom he identified as Virginia Roberts (later Virginia Giuffre). He said she was present at the house frequently when she was approximately 16 years old.

Alessi described finding sex toys and massage tables throughout the house. He testified that after he left Epstein’s employ, he was offered a severance package that included a confidentiality agreement. He said the atmosphere in the household was one of total control and secrecy.
