"Carolyn" described the devastating effect the abuse had on her life trajectory, including struggles with substance abuse, relationship difficulties, and the psychological burden of having been recruited as a child.

PROSECUTION'S POSITION: Prosecutors argued for a sentence of 30 to 55 years, calling Maxwell's crimes "among the worst this Court will ever see."
DEFENSE: Maxwell's team requested 4-5 years, arguing she was a "proxy" for Epstein.
